'ART 120' is 120x120 art designed to be sent to a celphone. Usually zumi's. As often as not it accompanies a brief message, without which the story behind the visual is probably lost. Making a picture this size involves a completely different set of challenges, which I quite enjoy.

Nintendo's Revolution controller is a fake.

Posted 16 Sep 2005 13:05:00 +0900 by lawrence

Mark my words, the recent Revolution controller images are mockups, fakes. I'm hereby staking my reputation as an insignificant voice in a tiny corner of the internet on this.

Here are some pics I've been taking on our little journey.

Narita airport at night, looking at the moon rising over the control tower.

The beach up at Childers where we spent an afternoon waiting for my dad. 20 mins in the sun and I had a lovely sunburn.

Brisbane at Night as seen from the top of a lovely little hill. Zoomed in on the city center.

Brisbane at night showing the moon and the crowd on the mountain.

The Family. Me, Zumi, my dad, my sister Adina and her husband Andy.

Crappy Art

I hope to post links to all my created artwork here. I like to dabble, and I harbor no illusions that my talent level might never achieve the lofty heights of 'sub-par'. Please gander at your leisure. Please note: Many of these pics are in .png format. If you get a broken image, write microsoft and bitch, not me.

March Something, 2003: I've been very busy in the graphic department lately, here's a list of some new stuff I've done, mostly logos and other crap.

Lovely tree menu
PC Engine Logo
PCE Blowout (And variations thereof
#X68000 Logo (and one that should never be used
MegaJet logo (A recreation of this box)
SGCD BackUp RAM logo
#shmups (IRC channel) logo
#shmups game cover
SegaCD Logo (and the same on black)
MegaDrive Box Recreation (and the original image
nfg.2y.net menu prototype
New GigaDrive Logo
Same (applied)
Final GigaDrive Logo
Another AtariLabs logo
Magazine Cover
Jamma Gear
Stylish new logo for the prototype Arcade Primer. Old version here

Another AtariLabs Logo
It's just so much fun!

WonderMega Logo (Big version)
I made this as a kind of header logo for a rather obscure Sega console. I wanted to capture the feel of the system without duplicating it. I think I succeeded.

AtariLabs Logo
I liked the pretty colours. Winamp3 is good for at least one thing.

Unreal Tournament
I'm addicted to Unreal Tournament 2003. This is a splashpage I made for an eventual homage page.

Ikaruga Logo
Just a logo, nothing fancy.

Gorilla + Banana
While designing this site and stumped for ideas someone suggested " just make a goddamned monkey and have done with it, sheesh" I'd never drawn a monkey before, I'm very pleased with the results.

Failed redesign
I was going to re-design AtariLabs. I still will, but it won't look like this.

New software
A mockup of a software app I've asked someone to write for me.

CD: Data-Side Fun
My new CD burner allows me to burn images onto the bottom of a CD. Here's one I made.

Elend Loves ASCII
Why did I colour ASCII text!?

Warning Label!
My old piece of shit HP burner had a cool warning label - I made one of my own.

Replication Fun
I made the bottom by had, the top is a scan. I'm impressed.

Fun with Scales
It's really garish, but an interesting experiment.
